Candidate Scorecard Process
The questionnaire responses will form the foundation of a structured scorecard evaluation process. The purpose of this scorecard is to create a clear, objective, and documented assessment of each candidate’s alignment with the needs and priorities of our university. Each candidate will be evaluated using the same criteria. This ensures fairness, consistency, and transparency.
Candidate Scoring
Candidates will be scored based on:
-
Clarity of their responses
-
Demonstrated understanding of institutional needs
-
Strength of their commitment
-
Specificity of their proposed actions
-
Overall alignment with the university’s long-term interests
This process ensures that decisions are based on documented positions and demonstrated seriousness—not political affiliation, assumptions, or campaign messaging.
Written responses will also serve as a public record. They provide a clear reference point that can be revisited after the election to help ensure accountability.
Just as importantly, this process demonstrates that alumni and supporters are organized, informed, and engaged. It sends a clear message that the future of our institution matters and that its stakeholders are paying attention.
